As the world emerges from the unprecedented shutdown of this past year, the simple joys of being with others, sharing a table and dining together have taken on new meaning.

Many of our neighbors have felt the impact of this global crisis.  Some local families are struggling with lost wages, childcare, and the inability to put food on the table.  Our local restaurants were part of an industry hit hardest by closures.  The pandemic has shown a spotlight not only on those in need but also on the generosity of this community. 
 
ACAN, a food pantry located in Severna Park dedicated to providing healthy food choices, was able to serve over 22K individuals over the past year due, in part, to community support.

This year’s Star-Spangled Restaurant Week takes on special meaning as we “Share the Table”.   Local restaurants are teaming up with ACAN to support our neighbors in need.   A portion of the proceeds from the customized Restaurant Week menus will be donated to the ACAN Food Pantry allowing it to continue it’s important work.
